Manager Bio

Ben Morgan, PE, CFM, is the County’s Stormwater Manager.  He brings 16 years of civil engineering experience to the position and holds several professional designations including Georgia Professional Engineer (PE), Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission Level II Design Professional, and Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM).   Ben’s background includes the design and management of municipal, residential, commercial, & institutional projects.  His stormwater emphasis includes hydraulic and hydrologic studies, stormwater infrastructure regulation, design, construction, mapping, and asset management, stormwater quality and quantity control, green infrastructure (GI) and low impact development (LID) facilities, erosion control, flood hazard mitigation and mapping, and NPDES permits.

Ben is a graduate of Georgia Tech, and resides in Cherokee County with his wife, daughter, and son.
