National Community Planning Month

Planners work to improve the well-being of all people living in Cherokee County by taking a comprehensive perspective. This approach leads to safer, resilient, more equitable, and more prosperous communities. Cherokee County celebrates the role that planning plays in creating great communities in October as part of National Community Planning Month.

Planning can be summed up as comprehensive, community-focused choices that enhance the spaces where people live, work, and play. Planning has a significant impact on day-to-day life in Cherokee County. From where they live, to how they commute, to the type of home they live in, planning plays a vital role in a person’s life and well-being.
