Development And Land Disturbance Permit|Rural Subdivision

Back to Development And Land Disturbance Permit

Recently Cherokee County Board of Commissioners approved a change to the Minor Subdivision Regulations and  Development Regulations. One affect from this change created a Rural Subdivision which would be for not more than 10 parcels. Below is some information regarding this change.

Rural Subdivision Regulations - Presentation 03.16.2021

Permitting of the Rural Subdivion would require a site plan to go through an approval process and will be issued a Land Disturbance Permit (LDP). There will also be a requirement for a final plat as well as a Notice of Intent (NOI) to be filed with the Georgia EPD. Please also be advised if the subdivision in on a septic system this would require approval from the State Environmental Health Department prior to any approvals from the county.
