We Love Planning!
Explore Cherokee County during the month of October – Community Planning Month – and discover how planners engage with their residents. We review site plans for proposed development, consider trails and park locations, promote art and murals, encourage revitalization and economic development, and protect natural resources and cultural heritage.

Contest Rules
The Passport to Planning Contest is open from Oct. 1, 2024 at 12:01 a.m. to Oct. 31 at 11:59 p.m.
Eligibility: This contest is open to Cherokee County residents of all ages.
Details: To be entered to win a $50 Visa Gift Card and gift basket, participants must visit all six locations described in the rules, complete their passport, and take the quiz on the poster. To complete your passport, take a photo at the designated locations on the poster and add them to the digital downloadable passport using your favorite editing app (list of apps available below). Completed passports must be emailed to [email protected] no later than 11:59 p.m. Oct. 31. Email with passport must include participant name, address, email, and contact phone number. Quiz responses will automatically be emailed to [email protected]. All participants will be entered in a drawing for a $50 Visa Gift Card and gift basket of local community swag.
Winner: The winner will be drawn at random from completed submissions and be notified by email and/or phone call. Winner will be announced at the Nov. 5, 2024 Board of Commissioners meeting held at 6 p.m. in Cherokee Hall, 1130 Bluffs Parkway, Canton, Ga. 30114.
