DISCOVERY PROCEDURES

Attention:

As a direct result of the ongoing issues and challenges of the United State Postal Service, our office has had numerous reports of discovery not being received in a timely fashion or—even worse—not received at all.  Due to this unfortunate turn of events, we will temporarily suspend our office’s practice of mailing media discovery using the US Postal Service, effective 5/31/24.  We will reassess the situation in six to eight weeks and reimplement mailing of discovery after the Postal Service has resolved their current challenges.  In the meantime, media discovery will be available for pick up in our front office or, if you prefer, you can schedule an appointment to come in and view the discovery at your convenience.

• Cost of media discovery request = $20.00.
• Fees waived for court appointed attorneys.
• The $20 fee applies once media discovery is requested and prepared, even if the discovery is not picked up.
• If a larger drive is needed to accommodate the volume of discovery, the discovery fee will be the COST OF THE DRIVE plus the $20.00 fee.
• Attorneys with an unpaid discovery fee balance cannot request that media discovery be copied for delivery.  He or she should instead schedule a time to review discovery IN PERSON.
• Discovery fees can be paid with exact cash, by check, credit card or by money order.
